I love art, all kinds of prints, paintings, posters - anything unique that no one else will have. These drawings are one of a kind and are absolutely beautiful, there was no way I wasn't buying them. I need to find some frames for them but to be honest I'm not sure what style of frame will look best - suggestions are welcomed. I love that no one else has these art pieces and they're just so my style and personality that I will love them forever!
This dress isn't vintage but it is second hand. I found this dress in a charity shop, it's TopShop and still had the tags in it! It fits like a glove and I love dresses like this where you can dress it up or down, plus when I don't have to support the big fashion corporations and pay their prices but still get a brand new dress, I'm pretty happy.
These guys are so cute! I actually found them both separately but they must have been a pair originally, they match perfectly and are just adorable. Again they're very renaissance and I tend to not like depictions of angels but when I eventually get round to putting these guys up on the wall somewhere they're going to look perfect! One may be missing his feet but he has wings and I know which I'd prefer.
I fell in love with this little desk calendar and nearly bought it on multiple occasions but never actually got around to it. I love brassy/gold colours and this design is just gorgeous. I knew I needed it so I went back to the shop and went to finally buy it but tragedy struck and it was gone, sold to another and I won't lie, I was a little upset. Later that day though, I walked into my bedroom and there it was - as a gift from my Mum which has only in turn made me love it even more.
This jewellery box was a gift to me from my Dad and it has been one of the most precious items I have owned for a while. When you twist the little cogs to tun the dancer, instead of her just spinning around, when her legs catch the floor she twists and turns freely making each dance she does unique. This jewellery box is more of an antique than a vintage piece and she is very delicate but again, I doubt anyone has anything like this and that makes it very special to me.
Could this be the most useless item I own? I think it may be. This little ceramic box is absolutely tiny, no more than 5cm long and 2cm wide. It can hold nothing I own but isn't it so pretty?! The shade of pink and the colours used to decorate the outside are stunning, I've never seen such a gorgeous box. It may not have a use but it makes me very happy and that's all that really matters right?
This one definitely has a use. This 1960's Parker Knolls arm chair was found by my dad and I have been looking for a chair for a while now as when I'm writing I can't sit on my sofa as it's too comfy I just fall asleep and sitting at my dining room table isn't comfortable enough so I needed a nice middle. Somehow I will fit it into my flat and I will love and use it every day.
I also bought this vintage footstool to go with the chair, I think the different shades of green will look really nice. Buying things like armchairs and footstools make me feel very grown up.
This is the handbag I use nearly every single day, this is also one of my favourite charity shop finds. All I see when I look at this is 90's goodness, Rachel Green is quaking. Although this bag is relatively small I can shove loads of stuff in it and it's so simple I literally wear it with everything. My favourite aspect is the material, it's almost 'waterproof' if that makes sense. Some may say it's ugly but I love it so much and at £2.99 what's to loose?
